Sep 2001

In the aftermath of the 11 September 2001 attacks, this paper seeks to identify and draw out the contrasting world views that form the backdrop to the events. It traces the emergence of views that have shaped US international security policy, military posture and convictions concerning the globalized free market. It also explores how the majority of the world population - which is not part of the North Atlantic system - views this US-led western consensus.
