Network connectivity office (Wi-Fi, UTP)

The data communications at ETH Zurich is the exclusive responsibility of the ID-Infrastructure section. They operate a comprehensive, powerful and reliable Ethernet-based IP / IPv6 network of active components for the Wi-Fi (WLAN) and fixed network.

The IT Infrastructure and Installation group is responsible for the physical infrastructure (cabling, UCT-planning) of data and voice communications. 

The ETH data network provides employees and guest at ETH with internet and intranet access. ETH related units (spin-offs, student organisations, partners, etc.) can use the service in correspondence with agreed user conditions.

The service is available to all ETH members free of charge. The first point of contact for all support issues in regards data networks is your IT Support Group (ISG). For students and other groups without an ISG the Service Desk is the first point of contact.
