Cash transactions (Cash desks)

Main cash desks

There are 2 main cash desks at ETH Zurich, located in the center and on the Hönggerberg campus. Please refer to the directive on cash transactions at ETH Zurich.

For paying at ETh Zurich cash desks please use the formular "protected pageAus- und Einzahlungen" (only German).

Petty Cash

You can apply to the Accounts department for petty cash for reimbursing small expenses within an organisational unit. Please refer to the directive on cash transactions at ETH Zurich.

To open or close a petty cash account, or to increase or reduce petty cash funds, please use the protected pageAntrag zur Eröffnung/Erhöhung/Reduktion/Auflösung (only German).

If there is a change of budget or cash responsibility, or change in petty cash invoicing, please use the protected protected pageMutationsmeldung.

The petty cash account must be balanced at least once a year at any ETH Zurich cash desk. Please use the protected protected pageAbrechnung Handkasse (German only) form.

If the original receipt for small expenses (max. CHF 100 each) cannot be provided, then an protected protected pageEigenbeleg (German only) detailing the expense may be submitted.

As a part of year-end operations, there is an electronic cash advance check in ETHIS every year. The budget manager or cash manager will receive a request by e-mail.
