This brief presents the findings of a 2005 Afrobarometer survey among mainland Tanzanians regarding the effectiveness of their government's policies. The survey focuses on education, health and water supply as areas of concern, and compares urban and rural responses. It concludes that while Tanzanians are generally satisfied with progress in the education and health sectors, they are gravely concerned about the water supply.
