This case study describes the coverage of the US and European editions of the Wall Street Journal in leading German media outlets between January and June 2005. It shows how the Journal faced up to the challenge of declining circulation in international financial news media by constantly setting the public agenda, as confirmed by its multitude of quotes in other media.
