Mapping the Global Future is the third unclassified report prepared by the National Intelligence Council (NIC) and considers how global trends in the first decade of the 21st century might influence world events. The report looks at the contradictions of globalization, the changing geopolitical landscape, challenges to governance, and international security threats. It then goes on to analyze the policy implications of these threats and uncertainties for the US government.
