The Iraq Body Count dossier provides specific statistics and detailed information on civilian casualties in Iraq from March 2003 to March 2005. The summary of casualties is based on the compilation and analysis of over 10,000 press and media reports. The continuous and detailed tracking, recording, analyzing, and understanding of violent conflict and its consequences on innocent and civilian victims is one of the main objectives of the Iraq Body Count.
