This publication provides an overview of the discussions at the 2019 Annual Conference of the Consortium of Non-Traditional Security in Asia (NTS-Asia), which addressed how non-traditional security issues threaten the well-being of nations and communities in Asia and beyond. More specifically, the conference addressed how irregular and forced migration, economic inequality, environmental degradation, digital threats, and social friction can constitute security risks. The text's author also provides recommendations on how to advance cooperation to address such risks in Asia.
