Publication

The first three articles in this special edition focus on the dynamics of cross-Strait integration and the political economy of China-Taiwan relations. The next two articles focus on Taiwanese business people (taishang) on the Chinese mainland and their significance for the evolution of the cross-Strait relationship over the last 20 years. Another three articles refer to the possibility and potential benefits of a peace agreement between Taiwan (the ROC) and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). The last one proposes a draft for such an agreement and comments on it and discusses the feasibility of its different stipulations.
