The first article in this issue addresses the heritage of the authoritarian context in Serbia, its numerous deficiencies and its opportunities that were not used by political actors during the reform period in the post-authoritarian context. Through a careful methodological analysis of informal politics, the second article identifies three types of particular interests of political decision-makers, which prevents the legal regulation of a sizable part of the private security sector in Serbia. The third article addresses the highly sensitive topics in the period after the year 2000 in Serbia: the politicization of the security-intelligence agencies.
