This collection of papers focuses on security sector reforms in former Yugoslavia and beyond. The sourcebook draws together the research from an international cast of scholars and provides an overview of the most important concepts related to security sector reforms. The sourcebook discusses and describes such issues as the democratic control of armed forces in theory and practice, the democratic and parliamentary oversight of intelligence services, the accountability of intelligence services, and the reform of police and security services in Serbia and Montenegro.
