The use of drones in Pakistan has resulted in a large number of civilians being killed along with the intended targets. This paper examines some of the international legal issues associated with civilian casualties of CIA drone attacks with the major focus being the existing obligation of states who participate in armed conflict to record civilian casualties of armed conflict.
