CARTFund is a Trust Fund, financed by the United Kingdom Government’s Department for International Development (DFID) and administered by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) with headquarters in Barbados. Its overall aim is to assist CARIFORUM countries in boosting growth and reducing poverty through trade and regional integration. A key aspect of the RDS is to support the implementation of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME), and to help Caribbean signatory states to benefit from the CARIFORUM-EC Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) signed in 2008. This policy brief discusses the objectives of the Fund, the project characteristics as well as some lessons learnt.
