The article discusses preliminary approaches to agenda setting of Media Tenor. The agenda setting concept assumes that mass media are influencing the public agenda and the topics of public awareness. The approaches developed by Media Tenor try to establish how much coverage is needed for a topic to be noticed by the public, how one can differentiate between minor and major issues and what the issue careers of these topics are in order to establish the complex impact and interaction of agenda setting processes.
