This books assesses the prospect of US-Chinese competition in three strategic domains: nuclear, space, and cyber. The authors confront the paradox that as power grows, so can vulnerability. The authors develop three analytic findings related to three crucial domains in which real strategic harm can be inflicted. Based upon these findings, they build policy recommendations for mitigating US and Chinese strategic vulnerabilities to each other, the core idea being that strategic vulnerability calls for mutual strategic restraint.
