This paper highlights the most salient technology transfer and innovation-related proposals in country submissions to the Rio +20 process. The priority areas identified in the proposals are: mechanisms, innovation, enabling environments, capacity building and know-how, intellectual property and financial resources. Although these areas overlap, the authors examine them separately to present a narrower and more specific focus.
