The first article of this issue looks at using 3D modeling as a tool for designing nuclear disarmament verification systems. The second article looks at the first session of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) for the 2015 NPT Review Conference that was held in Vienna from 30 April to 11 May 2012. It summarizes the discussions that evolved around the role and implementation of IAEA safeguards. This issue also includes articles on Iran and the IAEA, chemical weapons in Syria, research on the avian influenza, as well as Cyberspace, and a VERTIC news and events section.
