China is increasingly playing a central role in global governance and Chinese government, business, and civil society organizations will be key players in shaping China's role as it enters the 21st century. It is high time to engage Chinese stakeholders in the international discussions about global solutions, in that the world is confronted not only with ancient problems such as poverty, war and disease, but also new challenges such as climate change and the widening gap between rich and poor.
