Responding to a call for inputs from the UNFCCC Technology Executive Office (TEC), ICTSD prepared this submission to highlight the role of intellectual property rights (IPRS) in technology development and transfer. IPRs are identified as an area for which clarity would be needed in order to fully understand their impact on the development and transfer of climate technologies.
