This conference report summarizes the key findings of the fourth US-ROK Strategic Dialogue in 2012. The focus of the conference was on security perspectives, the regional balance of power, deterrence and the future of the alliance. The parties agree that the relations between the United States and the Republic of Korea are strong and the alliance in a good shape. Concerns include fears of deteriorating relations due to upcoming elections in Korea and the Korean belief that it is not trusted by the US.
