This issue of the Perspectives on Terrorism explores a range of issues in the field of terrorism studies. The first article featured in this issue provides insight into Rapoport’s articulation of the four waves of international terrorism, while further exploring the notion of so-called "mega ideas." The second paper offers an analysis of often confusing and contradictory messages sent by European Kurdish circles, arguing that it is possible to disentangle the underlying messages despite convoluted interpretations of Kurdish demands due to a lack of unity among the many Kurdish organizations in Europe.
