This brief looks at the issue of human trafficking in Bangladesh. It argues that governments have failed to control trafficking in the country and that international organizations are also limited in what they can do. The author believes that reprioritizing trafficking as a human security threat would improve the ability of policy makers to combat the practice. He also thinks Bangladesh needs to improve its legal institutions to deal with the issue.
