This paper talks about Bangladesh's management of its maritime interests. The author argues that the country has not pursued these interests sufficiently and that it is far behind its neighbors in surveying its own territory. He suggests this has made it difficult for Bangladesh to bargain effectively with its neighbors over territorial disputes. Bangladesh will attempt to resolve these disputes through UN arbitration. However, the author believes the country will find it difficult to get the results it wants through this process alone.
