This paper examines the South Korean public's perceived insensitivity to security threats in light of increasing tensions with North Korea. The author explains that outsiders consider it abnormal that people in South Korea maintain their usual daily lives despite the consistent threats from the North. However, he argues, it is not appropriate to criticize South Koreans’ response to the North Korean threat.
