This annual report provides a general overview of the activities of the Indian military between 2011-2012. It covers a range of topics including the security environment; the different armed services; defense production; research and development; recruitment; inter service and civil service cooperation; ceremonial activities; defense relations with other countries; and the increasing role of women in the armed services.
