Publication

The articles in this issue address a range of local, national and interstate issues across Southeast Asia. The contributors examine the role of returnees to Cambodia on the country's politics, the link between democratic transition and regional institutions, Filipino national identity, and economic development in Thailand. The issue also contains a review article focusing on recent scholarship concerning rural resistance movements in Southeast Asia and several book reviews.
