This report analyzes the impact Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have on promoting peace and helping the victims of humanitarian emergencies. It shows that ICTs are an essential factor in conflict prevention and post-conflict reconciliation and that they are able to promote human rights and transparency in governance. It also outlines how better communication and coordination mechanisms, the establishment of early warning systems, as well as other ICT4 Peace activities have promoted global peace and humanitarian aid.
