This paper relies upon network theory (writ large) in order to 1) identify the diplomatic strategies South Korea could use as a 'middle power' in East Asia, 2) clarify the conditions Seoul has to create in order to succeed abroad, and 3) highlight the sources of strategic and diplomatic power it actually has.
