Are the UN's casualty-recording practices effective and does the organization use its casualty data well? This report’s analysis of UN HQ and field level operations shows that when the UN does systematically record casualties, and acts effectively on this information, it can save lives. Despite this, the report finds that the UN is not systematically recording casualties. As a result, the report concludes by recommending next-step improvements to these processes.
