This note provides practical guidance for mediators on how to find entry points for women and gender equality issues into the mediation agenda. It shows how gender-responsive mediation can potentially lead to more sustainable agreements and proposes concrete measures for gender-aware interventions. It also encourages mediators to review the composition of their own teams in order to be more inclusive of women and gender expertise.
