This Iran Fact File discusses the evidence that the IAEA received from the US and other countries suggesting that Iran secretly sought to develop the materials and technology to produce nuclear weapons. It also looks at the agency’s own investigations of Tehran’s nuclear activities. The authors argue that the evidence and the IAEA’s own shows that while there is no proof that Iran has built a nuclear weapon, the information does suggest that Iran has previously pursued development of a nuclear implosion device.
