The articles in this issue address a range of local, national and interstate issues across Southeast Asia. Among other issues, the articles examine 1) the foreign policy decisions of Timor-Leste's leaders since the country's separation from Indonesia; 2) the personal profiles and social backgrounds of the elected and appointed members of Myanmar’s national parliament formed after the country's 2010 elections; and 3) Chinese foreign direct investment in Malaysia. The issue also includes a book review.
