This paper examines the questions raised about the state of privacy in Ghana as a result of the proliferation of portable, affordable digital electronic recording devices and other communication technologies. The author looks at a number of incidents in which such technology was used to breach privacy and in government leaks before examining the tension between privacy and the public interest.
