This journal contains articles on corporate social responsibility (CSR) in China as well as the relationship between the different actors involved, including the state, firms and NGOs. It also includes research articles on 1) the shift in discourse in China related to the term “eating bitterness”, which traditionally refers to the capacity to endure hardship, make sacrifices, and work hard; and 2) the relationship between taxi drivers in Beijing and the dominant social order in China.
