This Note highlights the inadequacies of the EU's action plan for dealing with illegal migrants crossing the Mediterranean. Basically, the plan is too reactive, securitarian, isolated and control-centered. What's actually needed, according to the Note's author, is a broader and more comprehensive geopolitical approach that accounts for the root causes of the migration problem.
