This issue of Africa Spectrum includes articles, book reviews, a review article and a conference report on Africa-related subjects. The six articles focus on 1) military discipline in the Liberian military during the country's second civil war (1999-2003); 2) the potential for Namibia to become a successful oil producer; 3) the inclusion of ‘indigenous knowledge’ into public education in Sub-Saharan Africa; 4) the outcomes and post-election issues raised by the 2015 Nigerian general elections; 5) the relative effectiveness of South Africa's National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC); and 6) how the term "community" was employed by different political parties during South Africa's 2011 local elections.
