This report summarizes the key findings of a September 2015 workshop on strategic trade controls (STC) in continental Southeast Asia. The primary focus of the event was on 1) international trade and strategic goods; 2) the core components of an effective STC system; 3) the roles of national legislation, control lists and licensing procedures, detection and enforcement, interagency coordination, and industry outreach within such a system; and 4) capacity-building and assistance.
