This report highlights the ongoing development, production and promotion of a wide variety of “remote control” riot control agents (RCA). These delivery systems can include 1) indoor fixed installation RCA dispersion devices; 2) external area clearing or area denial devices; 3) automatic grenade launchers; 4) multiple munitions launchers, and more. The problem is that the international community has yet to regulate the use and trade of these remote control RCAs, which should fall under the auspices of international and regional human rights law.
