This brief examines the Sustainable Energy for All Initiative (SE4ALL) and its goals, which include 1) achieving universal energy access; 2) fostering significant energy efficiency improvements; and 3) promoting a greater reliance on renewable energy sources. The brief's author then suggests that the SE4ALL Secretariat and its implementing partners should clarify their roles more clearly, particularly at different levels of action, and broaden their outreach to state and non-state actors.
