This commentary provides a North Korean perspective on 1) the 1953 armistice that ended the Korean War, 2) current US-North Korea relations, and 3) the prospects of replacing the armistice with an actual peace agreement. The text's author also discusses Pyongyang’s views on denuclearization and the role he believes the US has played in undermining peace on the peninsula.
