This publication examines the ongoing transformation of the global order - particularly regarding the evolving US-China relationship – and its implications for the EU and Finland. More specifically, the text’s authors examine 1) how the changing US-China relationship highlights how interdependence within the international system is evolving; 2) Beijing and Washington’s goals and how they relate to their global roles; 3) what the ongoing power transition of the global order means for global governance; 4) how the EU is contending with this ongoing power transition, and 5) the implications of these global and regional from the perspective of Finland.
