This paper discusses the genocidal atrocities committed by the Khmer Rouge from 1975 to 1979 in Cambodia. The author uses considerable graphic detail to describe several of the brutal tactics and methods employed by the Khmer Rouge during its rule. The paper explains that the Khmer Rouge perpetrators most often engaged in their own, individual-level, genocidal bricolage for carrying out their murderous deeds and did not simply "obey orders."
