This paper examines the impact of gender issues on health care processes and the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) to combat poverty. The author examines the general links between the MDG and gender issues. The paper states that if the full potential of the Millennium Development Goals for promoting global health is to be completely realized, gender issues will need to be central to all research and implementation strategies.
