This article discusses the image of American top politicians in Germany and the UK, focusing primarily on US President George W Bush. It argues that US voters arrived in the mid-term elections at a view in line with how the German TV news covered the 2004 presidential campaign. The report concludes that the media image of the US president in Germany and the UK has not been able to recover from the setbacks of previous years.
