This publication focuses on how Ukrainian historical policy has changed since the Revolution of Dignity in 2014. The text’s author outlines the evolving auspices of the Ukranian Institute of National Remembrance (UINP), and explores the organization’s role in 1) the decommunization of Ukrainian public space from 2014-2016; 2) the changing public attitude towards World War II; 3) promoting a positive conception of the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the struggle for independence in 1917–1921 in Ukrainian citizens’ collective consciousness; and more.
