This paper discusses how the oversight and transparency of special forces missions have not kept up with 1) their use beyond advise and assist missions; 2) the rise and fall of private military and security companies in Iraq and Afghanistan; 3) the future use of drones in British RAF operations; 4) the activities of US Cyber Command and other counterterrorism-related organizations; and 5) the potential impact of Brexit on UK and European intelligence sharing.
