This paper investigates some of the characteristics of the protesters that participated in the 15 February 2003 London demonstrations against the US invasion of Iraq. The authors use these findings to deduce implications for the political process and the anti-war movement in the UK. The paper closes by suggesting that anti-war campaigning may be diversifying and therefore becoming increasingly resilient to short-term setbacks.
