This paper offers a framework for description, analysis and explanation of bullying in the UK Army. The author presents a typology for understanding the range and variability of behavior that might fall into the category of bullying. He views the framework as a tool which provides a set of definitions for any discussion of an incident that might be labeled bullying and for the deconstruction of any use of this concept in a legal or investigative context.
