This brief details the main points of an off-the-record consultation for delegates to the NPT Review Conference held in Geneva on 13 April 2005. Three dimensions are brought into focus: the nuclear fuel cycle, strengthening verification and compliance procedures, and fulfilling disarmament obligations. The paper closes by providing definitions of success within the NPT framework and touches upon the growing role of civil society.
