This paper describes changes in democratic attitudes in Lesotho. It is based on three surveys of political attitudes and values conducted in 2000, 2003 and 2005. The findings show that overall, Lesotho's government looks strong and is politically stable, democracy is seen as a good thing and worthy of support, personal freedoms have increased, and there is a growing level of trust in government and political institutions.
